A racking system is only as durable as its finish. The two workhorses are powder coating and hot-dip galvanizing — and they suit very different environments.

Powder coating

Electrostatic paint baked onto cleaned steel. It gives a clean, colour-matched look (our standard blue/orange) ideal for dry warehouses and retail. Scratch the film and you should touch up to prevent creep corrosion.

Hot-dip galvanizing

Steel dipped in molten zinc forms a metallurgically bonded, self-healing layer. Best for cold stores, outdoor yards, wash-down food areas and chemical environments where coating scratches are inevitable.

How to choose

• Dry, indoor warehouse → powder coat.
• Cold store, outdoor, wash-down, chemical → galvanized.
• Mixed → galvanized frame with powder-coated beams for a branded look.
